About ESA

Electrical Safety Authority is an Ontario-based organization dedicated to enhancing public electrical safety across the province. Through regulation, education, and collaboration, ESA works to reduce electrical-related harm and promote awareness among homeowners, businesses, and industry professionals.

Training plays a central role in this mission—ensuring that licensed electrical contractors, inspectors, and workers have access to the knowledge and tools they need to work safely and stay up to date with codes and best practices.

With that mission in mind, ESA has now launched a powerful, user-friendly learning environment to better support their learners.

A Collaborative Launch from Day One

Onboarding ESA Into Thinking Cap LMS

The ESA onboarding project was a focused, fast-paced collaboration designed to get their new learning environment up and running without disrupting service to their users. With a tight timeline and a clear vision, both teams worked side by side to bring the program to life inside Thinking Cap LMS.

Importing Activities & Course Structure

ESA’s existing course library—including SCORM modules, evaluations, and supporting materials—was mapped and imported into Thinking Cap’s course architecture, preserving the logic of their existing programs while preparing for future growth..

Migrating Historical Completions

To ensure learner progress was uninterrupted, historical completion data was brought into the new system, giving users credit for past training and allowing ESA to maintain compliance records and transcripts.

Setting Up the Learning Experience

We configured navigation, content visibility, enrollment rules, and learner dashboards to reflect ESA’s workflows and support a clear, intuitive experience across all roles.

Branding the Learner View

ESA’s learner interface was fully customized to align with their visual identity, providing a professional, on-brand experience that made the new LMS feel like a natural extension of their organization.

Testing, Admin Training & Go-Live Support

With the platform built, we worked together on quality checks, trained ESA’s internal team, and provided hands-on support through the launch to ensure a smooth transition for all learners.
